I agree, I just hope he doesn't go off the rails. To be fair that just looks like a man that can't handle his booze, plenty of those about.
Well documented (or claimed) - although I cant see how a 6' 9" 20 stone male can get wasted on 3 or 4 pints though ![tongue out](/inc/images/tongue.gif)
This Baraou fight it a proper tear up...

I knew a big Saffa, about 6' 3" and 17 stone who was banned from having more than two pints to prevent him falling over
I have a friend who drinks white wine by the pint. Could explain it.He’s quick and slick is Whittaker but he should have stopped this bloke really - maybe he wanted the 30 minutes in full. Should be fighting every month. Be interesting to see how his thought process in-fight and style changes as he fights better opponents. Light heavies can bang, that’s for sure.
Riakporhe looked flat, uninspiring, what was he thinking with those tactics? He needed to be on the outside landing long punches not walking forward and grabbing, playing an infighting game that suits Smith. I found that a hard watch being honest, poor fight.
Dunno what the judges were watching...again....

Well I got that wrong.Dunno what the judges were watching...again....
CBS is a very clever boxer, not pretty but he knows how to win.
Well done.

He is quick but he isn't slick. That's twice i have watched him now and both times he looked like he ran out of ideas when he landed his best shots that didn't shift his opponents. He doesn't hit as hard as he or others think and his defence and form when throwing shots is poor. Got hit far too often this time and is wide open when throwing body shots. He is going to get cracked with a big hook in that situation as he moves up the ranks so he either needs to have a great chin or be matched carefully throughout his career, as you say, that division has plenty of bangers.
Still time and room for improvement but there are things there i don't see changing and i see more of Josh Kelly than Naz in him.

Spot on, i love watching him, he is one of those boxers that is greater than the sum of his parts. He is 100% all in on the game and looks to have picked up every bit of the nuanced stuff Mcguigan has taught him. I bet he is a joy to train. Great chin, good defence and the ability to get his head down and grind out a result while sucking the life and ambition out of opponents that on paper have all the tools to beat him.CBS is a very clever boxer, not pretty but he knows how to win.

It's not pretty sometimes but it is effective and i wish him all the success in the world as he comes across as a genuinely good bloke into the bargain.
A statue of Marvelous Marvin Hagler was unveiled recently in his adopted home of Brockton, Massachusetts.
Hagler in my mind is the greatest middleweight ever, and my GOAT. One quartet of the Four Kings. A constant switch hitter. A chin like granite, and easily the most disciplined fighter ever. Always looked fight ready and had a near unbreakable will.

I know the controversy still rages today but in my opinion Sugar Ray Leonard did win that fight, just.
As a Hagler fan, I agree. He gave too much away to SRL - agreeing to the bigger purse, and letting SRL dictate the weight of gloves, number of rounds, and ring size.Another fault is MMH started off orthodox and not southpaw. He stepped it up in the later rounds, but SRL used hit and run tactics, creating an illusion that he was doing a lot of work. SRL pretty much admitted this in his bio. Had the fight been 15 rounds, I think Hagler would have won. But it's history. Hagler, SRL, Duran, and Hearns gave us the greatest era of boxing.
I have scored that fight a draw, though watching without scoring it felt like Hagler won. That's a bit of a theme with SRL's controversial decisions. I scored the 2nd Hearns fight for SRL as well even though watching as a whole I thought it looked like he lost.
Neither of the decisions for those 2 fights were bad, I think. Hearns and Hagler unfortunate but not robbed

I have mulled this one over for decades.I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't really matter who was given the decision. They fought each other to a standstill and I would be happy with a draw as I would have been with Leonard vs Duran 1 or Hagler v Duran.
Just glad to have witnessed them.
