Are the pitches that bad, not seen any footage dont have sky, a lot of strange results?
The drop in pitch in New York has had the most criticism, however it has improved so it’s ok but no way a flat track. Making the games more interesting.

What part of his mojo do you think is missing ? He had a good IPL and has been good here so far too.

I think the unpredictable pitch in NY has made for some very interesting games, much preferable to a slog fest.
I agree. He is a pocket rocket and has recovered amazingly well. I also agree about the wickets although initially it was close to be being dangerous, but has settled down. Shame about that drop. USA have been mightily impressive so far.

Looks like NZ are in a worse position than us. They were all over WI until Rutherford pulled them out of the fire and Joseph and Motie did the rest. No way back for NZ I fear.

Looks like they need PNG to pull off a miracle against Afghanistan to have any chance now.
Mind you they could, but Afghanistan are playing well. It’s all very difficult to predict at the moment. However tonight needs to see Oman blasted wink

I believe there is simply because there is the opportunity to increase the NRR value of the win.

I thought it was just RPO difference, so it shouldn't matter if we set 200 in 20 overs or chase 50 in 5 overs, the RPO is the same, versus whatever RPO our opponent scores.
You could be right as I am not an expert on this aspect so happy to bow to superior knowledge and on that basis it does seem fairer and not toss dependant.

The most important thing for me is the ability to move your NRR regardless of whether or not you win the toss.

As it’s RPO difference then as suggested earlier bat second and you know exactly what you have to do.

Topley in for Jordan. Bairstow keeps his place. Let’s hope his power hitting returns.

England to bat second, hopefully chasing a low target so we can really get after it.
Fingers crossed.
