This type of weather is a nightmare when you are playing/watching cricket. Always looking at the sky and trying to guess where it’s coming from etc, etc. I suppose these days there is radar which gives you a pretty good clue. Frustrating though.
The problem we are having with playing is because there has been no prolonged dry spell the ground has remained saturated and any amount of rain within a few hours of play means it cant happen. Last weekend was frustrating, Saturday nice day, sun was out most of the day, Sunday similar, but in between it pissed it down overnight and the junior game on the Sunday was off because the pitch was sodden

The forecast for tomorrow doesn't seem too bad at the moment. Chance of an afternoon shower but otherwise mostly dry with some sun. I hope that hasn't jinxed it.
The forecast 3 hours out yesterday was 60% chance of light rain and it pissed it down so im not confident.

At least ENG Women have got their game in. Ecclestone is one wicket away from getting the fastest 100 ODI wickets

ETA - next ball she gets it. Fastest to 100 for Sophie

Just noticed, assuming it goes ahead, that the match is televised live on BBC2 as well as Sky

Is that a one off or have they been doing it for a while? Hadn’t noticed because I watch my cricket on Sky.

They've been doing it for a couple of years for home series - daily highlights of every England international, and usually one match from the series shown live.

Same with The Hundred, Sky show every match snd BBC get a few to show live as well.

Mark Wood bowling at 95mph, but it's worrying every time he falls over on his follow through.

Could sacrifice an mph or two for accuracy Wood n' Archer. Allowed Pakistan to get away a little then it's the Rashid show (thank goodness).

I tell you what Wood looks sharp. Wouldn’t fancy being in the way of one of those following you as you back off to leg smile

Yeah you don't hit ball to where CJ is unless you really do want to be out.
