He’s on another level right now. Pidcock has no luck today.
I don't know MvdP full spring classics schedule. But I hope he's not peaking a bit too soon. Pidcock is being hampered somewhat by starting 2nd or 3rd row on the grid. So getting baulked or bumped out by the pack. That overtake for 2nd on Thursday was epic though.

Pidcock also did a good interview with Matt Stephens for Sigma Sports channel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CqiT90b1aU

Stephens also interviewed MvdP after he became World Champ in Scotland

Regarding the spitting, Yes, he probably shouldn't have reacted to it. But I don't blame him if its true dheads were throwing piss on him! I assume his team will not be taking it further.

Sven Nys did it better when he chased down the drink thrower and asked him why he was doing it.

Just been through the start list and I can’t see Van Aert or Van der Poel. Hope I’m wrong.

You’re not. Van Aert isn’t racing much in the early season as he’s targeting Flanders and Roubaix. I’d imagine that van der Poel is thinking similar.

Pidcock, Pogacar, Mohoric and Alaphilippe are starting though, so there’s every chance it’ll still be a great race.

Yep. Wout is going 3 weeks at altitude as he’s aiming solely for Flanders and Roubaix. You won’t see him at MSR either.

MvdP will be starting his road season at MSR.

Wow!

That was impressive. One looked like he was out on a Sunday training ride and the others in a really tough race!

Looking at the profile it does look like the race where you get one of the smallest advantages from being in a group. Relatively speaking a larger % of the course is off road than the cobbled classics.

But even so the group should have very easily been able to get him back. The DS's need to start reading up on game theory.

Looking forward to de Ronde today. Such a shame that van Aert won’t be there and that Pederson and Trek generally are starting on the back foot.

Hard to look past van der Poel for the win although it’s not like he’d be an unworthy winner.
