I’d really like to see Jumbo Visma put they’re full weight behind Kuss. He’s a fantastic rider and both Roglic and Vingegaard owe him a big debt for their Grand Tour successes.

And from JV’s perspective, having all three titles with three different riders would be an incredible achievement.

Agree with the above, and he seems such a likeable guy too

Slightly serious question - are we hearing (ha!), of deafness/hard of hearing issues in the pro cycling ranks?

I only ask as the peloton seems to be surrounded by cars, motorbikes, helicopters (plus screaming crowds), along with the rumble or carbon wheels - has to cause issues over time?

Jumbo-Visma rider Nathan Van Hooydonck has had a suspected heart attack or epileptic episode whilst driving and crashed into five other vehicles. He is in a critical condition in hospital.

Some good news from JV

https://x.com/jumbovismaroad/status/170 ... U6H7T3jmDQ

"Nathan Van Hooydonck is awake and doesn’t suffer injuries because of the traffic accident earlier today. His health situation is not critical. Further medical examinations have to determine why Nathan became unwell, while driving his car. We want to thank everyone for the messages and the medical staff in the hospital for taking such good care of Nathan and his family."

Roglic is a serious competitor, can't see him giving up the chance of a grand tour win that easy. Both Vinegaard and Roglic would surely want the win outright.

Either way, great position for TJV to be in, at least we don't have to put up with the way Sky dominated and made the front of the race boring for years!!

TJV seems quite happy to let the team mates race against each other.

Good to see Jumbo do the right thing today. Kuss just needs to stay upright until Madrid now.

I think he’ll be my favourite grand tour winner in recent memory. A thoroughly decent chap and a very worthy winner.

Fingers will be crossed he gets through Saturday without Roglic having a go

I couldn't disagree more, 3rd best cyclist in his team wins, because the 2 better ones are told to let him win.

Yes it's a nice reward for him for all the work he had done for others, but he is not a worthy winner he is being allowed to win.

The Roglic interview after the stage a couple of days ago was interesting. He basically said that he'd love for Sepp to win as he deserves it for everything he's done for the team, but he wouldn't rule out going for it himself the next day because he's a racer and that's just what racers do.

Quite. Kuss is on his third GT of the season and has done substantially more work through the first two than either of his team leaders will have done on their one each.

Do you think the 2 better ones would have won their grand tours this season without the absolute monster work Sepp put in for them?

I’m glad someone seems to had a word in Vindegard’s ear…. It would be nice to see a domestique win.

I’m not entirely sure the message has landed with Roglic though.

Good to see common sense has prevailed. You don't attack your teammate in the last couple of days when your comfortably 1-2-3.

So would you say Roglic and Vingegaard have been walked over by JV and they just rolled over like little…?
