IND all out! For 119. Let's see how PAK bat now though.
Well Babar will go mental if they lose this one. This WC is crazy but fun. Apart from the dancing obviously..

I've switched over to watch that. More important for England's journey than Ind/Pak currently.
It is and it’s also where we play next.

Pak are choking and the win predictor has swung from 75% in their favour to basically equal.

SCT seem to be well in control against OMA so don't think they will be doing us any favours.
Their NRR is the key and they are going well at the moment.

Come on Oman, make it a bit more difficult for Scotland. That was a sitter.

Oman can't field for st. My U11s dropped fewer catches today.
This hurting us big time. Working out how big we have to win our next 2 games is for someone else. Fair play to Scotland though.

One thing I would ever say about the Aussies is they don’t take any game of cricket seriously. NRR 2.16 for Scotland -1.80 for us. That will take some shifting.

Genuinely don't understand NRR, can you explain what "takes some shifting" will mean, please?
It’s the scale of the victory that magnifies the shift. Eg: If Eng bat first score 200 then bowl out Oman say for 100 in 15 overs the shift is 3.33 That’s the scale of victory we need. Just winning isn’t enough. The pure calculation is one thing but the bottom line is we need to win big as illustrated in the above example. Then we need to go again against Namibia and win ‘well’. Hope that helps.

If it means they have the power to shaft the Poms in favour of the Scots, they'll do just enough. Not saying they won't play to win; but they'll play in 2nd gear so not to disturb the RR too much.
True they could but it’s not easy to do in a competitive game. Well let’s hope not wink

Yup Topley in for Wood I think…Wood is great on a quick track. He doesn’t have the change of pace that fast bowlers need on tracks like this. Compare Wood to the three Aussie quicks.

Zampa bowled very, very well. Those balls he was bowling to Bairstow were googles that he was bowling outside leg stump….crafty !

Oh and Duckett in for Bairstow. Toss up between Bairstow and Brook but Brook has more shots.
We agree. Playing devils advocate Duckett has had no game time but that is a risk but worth taking in my view. I also reckon that they believe pace against the so called ‘lesser’ nations is more effective. On this ground which has smaller boundaries a nick or top edge can go for 4 or 6. So I would go with Topley for control, change of pace and a different angle. The rest need to pull their finger out and play like they are capable of because this isn’t a poor team.

It's interesting that all four groups have one of the senior teams in difficulty.

Hopefully the weather doesn't come into it again.
Good point it is the start of the rainy season. The weather you can do nothing about as they have compressed this tournament to the point there are no reserve days other than the semi finals.

If Scotland beat Aus we are buggered as Aus are unlikely to lose their other game. If Scotland lose they need to lose big and we need to comprehensively beat Oman and Namibia, if we lose either of those games we are buggered. If any of our games are called off due to the weather we are buggered, if Scot v Aus is called off we are buggered.

Not looking very good at all really is it
No it isn’t. However wink I remain optimistic at this point because Australia will beat Scotland. By how much, that I don’t know but they will lose. If the Aussies take their foot off the gas I will be livid to put it mildly. We will win the next 2 games, weather permitting, and the only issue is how comprehensively. I honestly don’t see us not stuffing Oman and by a large margin. That is key. It will then allow us to go into the final game against Namibia knowing exactly what we need to do. That’s my take and we will know after the Oman game as to whether we stand a chance or not.

All we can do is control what is in our hands. That doesn’t include the weather or the Aussies.
