They should have mentioned the most impressive statistic (imho), that Andy became World Number 1 while Roger, Novac and Rafa were all playing their very best and were injury free.

Draper v Norrie game is quite good apart from the mild annoyance of Andrew Castle.
Such a shame the draw put them up against each other so early in the competition, the same as it did with Katie Boulter and Harriet Dart. frown

I didn't want any of them to lose! But it was interesting that both Number 2s made it to the next round, although I suppose it did mean a Brit got through!

Raducanu seems to be finding some strong form…

Ash Barty seems a good pundit, very natural and apparently not done it before. Certainly a positive part of the BBC coverage.

There was a lovely piece between her and John Mac the other day. He clearly likes and respects her.

I mentioned that to Mrs. O earlier, and she agreed,

Ash does seem very comfortable behind a microphone, and comes across very well.

Raducanu pulls out of the mixed doubles due to a sore wrist. Murrey's Wimbledon career is now over.

All very odd. Murray of all people ought to be supporting Raducanu’s decision.

Odd one with Swiatek earlier, where she looked genuinely unwell after the first set.

Jabeur wasn't hew normal self either, playing a game that didn't include her normal wide variety of shots.

Alcaraz given some problems by Humbert. Looked like it could go to five sets. However Carlos just turned it on at the end. If you get the chance watch the penultimate game. Just amazing running but also blistering shots. What I love about him is that he screwed up an easy point (in another game near the end). Rather than hold back on the next point he hit two or three shots within centimetres of the line

I was hoping to watch Emma Raducanu play Coco Gauff but it's starting to look unlikely.

But then I was hoping to see Nick Kyrgios this year. Why's he not playing ?

He did say he looked forward to coming back.

Some very fine tennis from Emma and Lulu and for a qualifier so impressive.

Impressive or puzzling? She is not young (23) and her ranking is 123. She just seems to be going for winners and Emma is helping out by not putting her under enough pressure. Too many tame mid court balls that Lulu can take a chance with.

Emma is playing very tamely, nothing like what she was doing in the earlier rounds.

That being said, Sun is playing some outstanding tennis.
