KB is giving ER a huge lesson in shot selection. ER has a dreadful habit of hitting short shots straight back at her opponent rather tjan use the channels or a lob. She has lost countless critical points like this in the third set.

It’s also a wake up call for ER as to where her actual level is - probably around the 30 to 70 mark rather than higher.

Huge congratulations to Jack Draper for winning Stuttgart and guaranteeing a seeding for Wimbledon.

.
She is a hard watch sometimes. At the very end of the third set she had one last chance and there was a relatively easy drop shot as Boulter was at the other end of the diagonal but ER didn't see it. She doesn't use the DS. Instead she gave the point away.
Also while her serve has improved it still needs more oomph and more consistency to get somewhere.

Can’t bear to watch Milos Raonic so I’m actually glad he didn’t progress. A plank of wood has more personality….the guy just looks like he completely hates his job..
