I love watching Moutet, for all his faults lol.

But I was under no illusions Sinner would tune his game and win.

Djokovic withdraws from French Open with a "torn medial meniscus". Given the recovery time needed, it looks certain he'll miss Wimbledon too.

Such a shame, he was awesome yesterday beating Cerendulo (who played brilliantly himself).

I don't really like him, and I hate that he'll go down as better than Federer in history.......but not sure I want to see him forced out of these tournaments either. Shame.

It’s a shame he didn’t retire from the match and give Cerendulo a big favour. Would have been a kind gesture. He probably knew how bad it was. Looking good for Ruud, a two time finalist who now gets extra rest.

Alcaraz v Zverev final will be of interest!

I favour Carlos after his performance against Sinner, winning a five-setter against the World #1

I did not expect a five set match, but Sasha played out of his skin especially after over 19 hours of court-time in the Tournament.

But Carlos really is (IMO) the best of Djokovic and Nadal rolled into one.

Carlos is the youngest ever player to win Grand Slams on all 3 surfaces. That should terrify everyone.

Another first round exit for Murray.
It’s sad and a bit painful to watch/read about, but maybe a miracle could happen and he’ll win one or two at Wimbledon.

What is up with Norrie? He was doing so well 18 months ago but is slipping down the rankings fast

But withdrew against Raducanu because of a 'niggle'. Two excellent results though, and no doubt has earned her a Wimby MDWC.

Agreed. Fran Jones has huge personal hurdles to overcome and got £5k for getting to the Nottingham QF against ER and probably/hopefully a Wimbledon WC. In her position would you play ER for a Nottingham SF and possibly £10k or stay fit for a day at Wimbledon and £60k?

A lot of young British players in the lower rankings have said a Wimbledon WC is both a life changing amount of money as well as an incredible experience. Well done Fran for her years tennis so far.

I looked up the French and it’s much the same. No problem with it per se, but the host nations are able to dish out these sums to their own players via wild cards, where as other nations may not.
