I've seen it all;
-10 Hole cards to get the HCP lower
-NS Scores to not mark a bad score due to "injury"
-General Play cards being put in the system hours after they've teed off (You must declare before play), this is on the IG app service not myeg so god knows what's happened on that
I wouldn't be surprised if a large percentage of the field in some of these comps have falsified.
Sadly had to cancel playing Aphrodite Hills this week for a couple of reasons - the forecast of 29 degrees has changed to the same 36 it's been all week, and the hire car company the wife found have dropped off a car I'm not entirely sure would make the 100 miles across the island. It's a Mazda 2 with 232k miles on the clock, and some of the noises coming from the flywheel are...concerning.
Good news is we're in Paphos in early September, so I've moved my reservation to then when I'll have my clubs with me as well. Plan is a couple of rounds there and one at Secret Valley.

I went to the American golf driving range at Trafford park last night, bit of a drive there and back (3 hours) it was my first time at a US style double decker range, the mats were much better than my local range softer on the fat shots if that makes sense.
We were on the upper deck which I found to be quite cool, once I'd got over the fact that I wasn't going to throw myself off the bay, loads of tempting stuff in the shop as well and I was really enjoying using a scotty cameron newport 2 putter on the practice green but came away with a set of alignment sticks instead.

I'm happy with my Ping Anser redwood but I did like the Scotty but that's because it was shiny and new, I'm going to spend that £440 plus a bit more on series of lessons which start on the 27th instead plus a fitting for my clubs.Also if you like the Newport 2, have a look at the secondhand market as they haven't changed much over the years. They'll be bad spots to avoid (down the right of 11 near the railway line) but it's not a tight course.
