shout Emma has pulled out of the Mixed Doubles. Said 'wrist stiffness', which translates as 'gonna focus on the singles, sorry Andy'

That's a tough way to end Sir Andy Murray's Wimbledon career, assuming he can't find another playing partner at such short notice.

Quite poor form really.

She probably expected to be out after first or second round and didn't expect to make week 2.

At least he got his farewell on centre court after the men's doubles.

She’s probably cost you a few quid lately.

A bit poor she can’t manage a few knockabout mixed doubles games…
Priorities and all that I suppose…

Nah, haven't been doing much sports betting.

Although I was close to betting on Kasatkina for the Eastbourne tournament.

Maybe in a match or two if she gets there smile

I don’t suppose Murray would struggle to find another partner if he wants.

Why would she not pull out if she is still in the singles? They were never going to win it. It felt cynical from both of them in case they both found themselves going home early.

We've seen Murray withdraw last minute from competitions with injuries several times. I don't remember the same moans on here.

I don't blame her for withdrawing from what's largely a ceremonial mixed doubles match with Andy.
Has to put everything into her singles tournament, and I'm sure Andy would be the first to acknowledge that.

Not allowed to apparently, when one pulls out they both do.

Its a shame we dont get to see them play, but seems a sensible thing to do if she still has the singles to focus on.

Not really. Her focus is on the singles and Andy knows that.

Agreed, she did the right thing.

I’m sure Andy Murray would agree wholeheartedly with her decision.

Apparently he's "absolutely devastated" so i'm not sure he's that supportive.
