I hate in the doubles where they fist bump each other every point!
Even if they lose the point. It’s f
king annoying.
Yeah I’ve also thought that! Even back in the 80s. One service, ace. Fist bump. Next service, gets returned wide, fist bump. Etc. Infuriating Even if they lose the point. It’s f

Emma playing well maybe the crowd lifts her
She'll be back in the top 100 when Wimbledon is over with that result.
Excellent 1st and 2nd serving and a similar attitude and determination to just get right back up and into it again when she loses critical points or facing break points that she had a few years ago. Her movement around the court is so much livelier than the past few years so I think the match fitness is back as well as the physical and mental sharpness that simply comes from playing matches rather training and practising.
Tomorrow's schedule is showing ER and SAM playing mixed doubles fourth on Court 1.

Was an excellent performance and win.
Clearly there is a now found belief and desire in her game; she looks to be enjoying the moment which is important, she has alluded that parking side distractions has helped, her fitness and strength currently appears to be best it's ever been (possibly even more so than 3 years ago), from the outside the relationship with her coach seems to be on point finally and it looks like she's found her own comfortable mental space which is so important.
The key will be after Wimbledon, once the uplifting crowds are gone, if she can continue in the same vein and lift her own performances. Sakkari looked like she let the crowd and noise affect her game and she's a top 10 player. If Emma keeps going and playing with this same attitude, she has the game to consistently be in and around the Top 10.

Did Sakkari under perform or did Raducanu exert the pressure which didn't enable her opponent to perform?
She definitely put pressure on the Sakkari serve.
Just hope she gains something from playing with Murray later on today and not an injury!
She's always had the ability to be top 10. Sometimes the path is a different one.

ER is very obviously having another good run but as Johanna Konta kept saying yesterday there is still not enough consistency in her games, whether through fitness, injuries or quite simply being very new to the Tour and turning the world on its head with the '21 USO win, to say where her actual level should be.
I think so far you could firmly say it will be top 100, but a few well cheered on wins at her home GS can't be taken as evidence of her being a top 10 or even a top 30 regular. A few weeks ago she lost to Katie Boulter, ranked 30-ish so are people discounting that result? Like ER stated on camera (literally) 'my own pace'.

For me, she has the game to be top 10. I don't think anyone saying she WILL be Top 10; just that she has the attributes in her game to get there and stay there. But she does need match miles under her belt and the continued commitment that she has shown very recently. There are a lot of distractions in the wider game that comes with media attention; she looks like she is at least finding a way to deal with it, as well as enjoying the game at the same time. Long way to go and time will tell.
