What people want to see is Emma on court. Not on instagram.
34 Instagram posts in 2024. Less than 7 a month on average.I personally don't know how she finds the time to pick up a racket with all that Instagram posting........
Rafa Nadal has posted nearly 120 times on Instagram this year. No wonder he's slipped down the rankings eh? He'd still be number one if he laid off that bloody app......

If she was falling out of Nobu at 3 in the morning, the day before a tournament I'd be criticising her as much as anyone but the reality is that she's a victim of expectation having achieved a huge amount of success early in her career.
People now expect her to replicate that at every tournament and, if she doesn't, begin their own little investigations as to why. Social media is an easy target, as is the Coach.
Rain permitting!
Emma goes head-to-head with British number one Katie Boulter at the Nottingham Open after reaching her first semi-final on the WTA tour since 2022.
She made it through to the last four after her quarter-final opponent Fran Jones withdrew from the tournament on Saturday morning because of a shoulder injury.

I watched Emma’s second round match live at Nottingham on Thursday. She won 6-2 6-2 & showed moments of brilliance interspersed with plenty of mistakes which a better opponent would have punished. Her serving was excellent; she hit 11aces & won one service game to 0 without her opponent getting a ball back in court.
Seeing her live, you also notice that she looks & moves like a proper athlete in a way that not all women players do. As you would expect there was plenty of chat about her in the crowd. The consensus appeared to be that she has everything she needs to get to the top of the game, but she just needs to spend more time on court & play more matches to build confidence & resilience.
