I still reckon we should still go through. Just. It could come down to NRR, if Scotland and us win our remaining games.

I admire your confidence, we are st. If it wasn’t for the rain, we’d be out now.

Not great, we look fragile again, no confidence in this team.

Suffice it to say we have been thumped here. So well played Australia.

Jonny - GTF, you are done.
I know but in fairness this wicket has variable bounce and that one just didn’t get up.
I think Duckett for Bairstow or Brook…need another left hander in this order.

We have bowled badly. Jacks bowling the second over was massively odd and the commentators were all saying it was a “pace off” wicket and we didn’t do that. The Aussies have proved the commentators were absolutely right.

I don’t think the Mott/Buttler combination is working that well if I am honest.

I don't think we looked too bad. No major cock ups. Some of our pace bowlers were expensive and we probably should have read the pitch better. It's limited overs cricket and one team wins and one loses and the better team edged us today.

Still hope although we have 0 room for error going forward.

Winning by 36 runs after 20 overs is not 'edging it', it's a fairly comprehensive victory.

Agree with most of that. Duckett yes and we blew it in the powerplay. I also think that Topley would have made a difference. Rash has also been off the boil, looking at how Zampa bowled there was no comparison. Livingston is a better bet than Jacks because he can turn it both ways so yes Buttler and Mott must take responsibility for that decision. That batting line up should however be doing better.

I agree with the sentiment and think we can still qualify but we were thumped today unfortunately. We have to bounce back hard from this and that didn’t happen in the 50 over WC so we need to pull our finger out.

This is just a repeat of the 50 over game - team has no confidence and don’t look like winners. Just look at the body language, they don’t even think they’ve got a hope.

You could be right on the point about confidence. Let’s judge that after the next 2 games. This was Australia and we have no divine right to beat them. They are a quality outfit, but these are one off games and I still believe that this team has the ability to perform better.

Last 2 games in Antigua where the current par score is 130, makes a big NRR improvement a bit of a challenge

Well Hayden said yesterday that he thought 140 was par on that pitch. Got that wrong. This team can score big and will have to in order to move the NRR. I think they will. Still all to play for. Aussies got it right no debate about that.

Ok, so you are Mott and Buttler, you have to pick a side to win the next game against Oman convincingly, and I mean convincingly because our NRR is poor. It’s in Antigua, boundaries are on the smaller side. Not sure about the wicket, but they tend to be a little sticky for the quicks but should take some spin. What changes would you make? If any.

Ind v Pak has been delayed, started, off again, back on. Seems to have upset the batters and King Kohli has just slapped one straight into the heads of the fielder at point. Gone for 4

That’s his second low score on the bounce. Perhaps they should drop him smile
