I've not been paying any attention, but has KP done anything since flopping so badly in the IPL?

I think he has been playing a few games for Surrey this season. He was shocking in the IPL this year as well. I think his side came bottom and he was Captain. Nice one Kevin

Last match for Surrey, 1 run of 11 balls.

Total for the season is 47 runs in five innings with a highest score of 24 not out

47 runs in five innings is such a compelling set of performance to ensure that you get back in a team that doesn't like you.

Deluded, absolutely deluded, but he's being paid by a newspaper to write a column and he only has one thing to say.

Isn't it!!!!

I was really looking forward to seeing Warne bowl, but it seems he is off injured and not likely to return to play - I think they've handed the captaincy to Gilchrist now.

Gutted! and so is my little fella as we'd watched a heap of youtube cricket last night with me going on about what a superb spin bowler Warne was, I had to sit through a few comments from him after watching Ajmal this morning along the lines of 'So can Warney do that too?' hehe

What's the full quote? Google in the Gower is decidedly lacking!

The C word was preceded by the word "absolute".....

Allegedly.

Yes got absolute but I'm interested in knowing the preamble and full context.

Unexpected from Strauss so I wonder what the context was too.

The Journo asked Strauss to say something nice about KP.

Did anyone really expect KP to just fade away?

For what it's worth his telegraph columns have been a lot better than the pish that Pringle used to call a column.

I don't know, but I imagine that calling KP a is probably one of the politer things Strauss calls him.

From what I can gather, during a UK ad break Strauss called Pietersen a , unfortunately this was transmitted live to Australia. Hence the abject apology.

Was at Lords yesterday. Players largely seemed to be relaxed and enjoying themselves - nice atmosphere.

Finch is clearly a class act, but the bowling wasn't exactly testing.
