Don't the nurseries belong to the White family?

Move along, nothing to see here.

I thought that but didn't post it as it will just add to my rep for being a tight wad.

Ashby Folville charges £2 gate tax. Cheaper than parking in the town centre...

I thought it was £1 - was the last time I went.

There was no mention of it going to charity when we drove in. Although the chap wearing the high viz was fairly unconvincing bandit and he did appear to be allowing anything on two wheels breeze straight in.

What did suprise me, and I attended every meet last year, was the prescence of the BiB ! Albeit limited to a Panda and a single foot patrol, he was noting number plates whilst drivers were hooning out of the cricket pitch field towards close of play eek

The Earls Barton meet is being organised by a 'proper' petrolhead and his aim is for something similar to the Ashby Folville meeting although with the aim of a bit more parking organisation in terms of vehicle marques/types.
Of course it will probably be small to start with, but will hopefully grow, especially with local support.
As for the venue - it is easy to access just off the A45 and regularly hosts other large gatherings including the annual Steam Rally in August.
See you all there...?

I think Ashby is now out of hand and something a little more controlled might be worthwhile .

Went along yesterday - around 40 cars there and a smattering of bikes. A nice mix, and as it grows it should become a really good event. smile
