Does anyone know of a place local to Northampton that I can use to garage my car? I don't like leaving it on the drive and it attracts the wrong sort of attention. If someone knows an old lady who has a garage she doesn't use and wants a few quid rent that would be good as well!

Have you had problems then?

Not problems as such, just kids coming on to the drive and looking at the car. Probably harmless but I've heard horror stories of people being woken up by blokes with balaclavas and knives demanding the keys to the car. I live at the end of a cul-de-sac so there is no through-traffic but she stands out like a sore thumb on my drive and I hate leaving her out in all weathers as well. I've just got a promotion at work which comes with a company car so it's a good opportunity to put the car somewhere safe and when I want a good thrashing I can drive the company car to the lock-up and have some fun! smile

Do you use a car cover, might be a good idea if you don't.

My car stands out where I live. It was interesting on the snowy days to see footprints in fresh snow of where people had walked up to the car (why??)

I can't help with your search, but good luck.

I've a couple of friends who live round the corner from you with a double garage - I'll give them a shout tomorrow. Congrats on the promotion chap :-)

Thanks Adrian. smile

Hi Nicola. I don't have a cover but will be getting one if I can't get a garage space. I didn't want to use a cover as I'm told they scratch the paint and the car has to be spotless each time you cover it. It would be preferable to leaving her out all the time. These Italian girls don't have the best door seals and the engine bay needs constant cleaning!

Damn, they're currently using it to store old furniture. I'll try to chivvy them along....
