Hi,

Looking at changing the front discs and pads tomorrow on an EP3 Type R, preferably to EBC red stuff pads and drilled and grooved discs.

EDC Centre want £280 inc fitting. Just wondered if anyone had used them before? The price seems reasonable considering my local main dealer want £245 for standard discs and pads.

Cheers.

We've used them for both mx5's that Di's had. Can't fault the service they've given us in the past

Only ever used them for ordering stuff that Mr BC has then fitted himself, prices always seem good (plus cashback if via quidco) and delivery always prompt. Happy customer here smile

I like them very much, my only issue is the chap on the phone talks so fast I can't understand him hehe
Seriously though, they have done fab jobs on the MX5's, they can arrange MOT's as well via garage next door

Cheers.

Had to cancel at the last minute unfortunately. But having read the EBC brakes thread in the General Gassing section, it's probably just as well.

Ive not seen the thread, but from personal experience Id never buy EBC!
They were fitted to 2 cars I bought, and both managed to warp.

Have you thought about changing them yourself?
Discs and pads are pretty straight forward to do

Totally mechanically inept I'm afraid. However, I'm going back to a place called Phoenix Motorsport for the new set up. It's a pretty old outfit that specialise in Lotus. I used them last week after a recommendation. The owner voluntarily said he'll show me how to do it for next time.

I've now opted for Stoptech as they came recommended and seem very well received from all sorts of reviews on various cars.

Not sure what the set up there is with EBC- franchise? Not sure if they only supply EBC Brakes

But I use them as a normal garage for MOT, servicing, general checks and I cannot fault the service I get every time, just don't want anyone reading this to disregard the garage because of any comments smile

I don't think they're a franchise, and they do offer brakes other than EBC.

My comments relate to the manufacturer of the brakes rather than the garage itself.
