It was a pleasure Steve - definately got faster as the day went on and i got more used to the track and braver - also started to get some heat into the tyres.
What a great day.

I think I had the penultimate ride and what an amazing bit of kit it is. Thanks Dave.

Some great machinery there too.

Hi Steve wavey sorry as normal I didn't recognise you at first

You should have been out with Dave in goggles instead of helmet for full effect

I only got a few Sporting Bears members Cervini got all the PHers

yeah and just as the tyres were sticky and I was hoping for a very quick lap your stamina ran out leaving me crest fallen at the side of the track a disappointed young man, another dream shattered – you heartless person frown

Having said that thank you for my other rides and the loads of rides you gave to satisfied punters, drivers and helpers thumbup

I,m sure the tyres will be nice and sticky again on Saturday at Curborough - so you will be more than welcome to as many fast laps as you like - see you then.

First off was a truly insane 19 year old Westfield with a 4.7 litre Rover V8. Not at all cosseted, lives outside and was a bit of a mess to look at. But by Christ, it fking went. The owner claims 2.6 to 60 - and even if he's being a little optimistic, it cannot have been too far off that, so ferocios was the acceleration. It cornered brilliantly and topped out at 120 on the straight, with some serious buffeting from the wind. No screen and your arse inches from the floor. It was raw and incredibly exciting (here passengered by someon else):

Just found this article on another site see link on events forum - fame at last - although a few mistakes present
4.3 v8
2.8 to 60 ( dont start again stig)
135 down the back straight - confimed by Scooby driver

Good old ratty

Dave you would have went faster without the helmets - and lighter driver - and some lighter passengers smile
