Hope the mods don't mind a bit of a push for the Sywell Airshow - 100% of profits made by the show go to the local Air Ambulance.

We've just this morning had the attendance of Vulcan XH558 confirmed and have extended online ticket sales until 15th August as a result.

If you want to try flying a VFR only bomber with really poor cockpit visiblity out of an airport socked in with a 400 ft cloud base and regular torrential rain, I'm sure the Vulcan guys will be only too pleased to put your application in the round file... they spent nigh on two hours in the cockpit hoping for a break in the weather - and constantly replanning the slot time with me on the phone - to no avail. Sometimes the weather just beats you.

Sorry, wasn't meaning to have a pop!! A friend of mine spent 2 days at the Bournemouth show and virtually nothing was flying. So we were fairly lucky really!!

Weather permitting, the Vulcan will be making some noise at Sywell tomorrow (Friday 8th), arriving at 11 and doing some local area flying with the Blades, should all be done and dusted by about 12:35. Parking available in the museum car park, hotel, bar etc. open as usual.

...and the weather's gone to hell again frown It's extremely low cloud and poor visibility until 1300 local at which point the vis may have improved but the low cloud could well stick around. Keep an eye on twitter.com/XH558 but unless the weather improves a fair bit it may be another postponement.

It's just been circling over my office in Lamport during the last 30 minutes - it looked and sounded great!

First time for me seeing it fly smile
