Good afternoon midlandy, southern types biggrin

Long story short:

Since I returned to yorkshire after living in Leicester for 6 months, I've been toying with the idea of moving back to the midlands full time, but I know very little about the area (other than important things such as where my wonderful lady lives and the way to Silverstone/Santa Pod etc hehe) so I'm seeking opinions and advice with regards to what looks like an inevitable relocation

I would be looking at renting somewhere (when the time is right) and I'm not exactly flush, nor will I be for a good couple of years

What is the area like for work and industry??

(pretty much your average worker bod, warehouse/driving etc, but making my way into photography mainly of a commercial and industrial nature)

Thanks in advance

Scott

It's warehouse central, and DIRFT II is due to be built (if not started already). Stobart and Sainos have massive places down there, to name just two.

I should just point out that I know nothing of job availability... I just hoof past the place. smile

Plenty of Northants people who'll tell you where to avoid. You've got the choice of villages or towns, new or old houses...

I've been living in the county for nearly 5 years, and like it a lot. Then again, I get my city fix by working in London...

More importantly, there is a lovely variety of roads around though. biggrin

To be honest, I'm not entirely bothered where it is as long as it's more local to my girlfriends and my car isn't going to be on blocks everynight
