Today is the best day off work I have had in ages......

I just had a Spitfire doing lowish level aerobatics over the fields past the end of my house cloud9

I heard that very distinctive Merlin rumble approaching so shot out into the garden to be treated to 5 minutes of shear pleasure as the pilot did a series of loop the loops , barrel rolls and sweeping turns. I stood in the garden like an excited school boy just watching the sheer magnificence of this aircraft as it went through its manoeuvres. I was rooted to the spot,I didn't even think to grab the camera.

The absolute beauty of the design was clear to see,the silhouette of the elliptical wings clear against the blue sky.

It was only 5 minutes but time seemed to stand still.

Not something you see in the sky over Rushden every day so thank you whoever you were for making my day.

Marcus, great post but spoilt by one word spelt incorrectly.

Sidned, try reading Marcus's post again to answer your own question.
