One of my colleagues was stopped yesterday evening by an unmarked car in Thrapston. He didn't know what make it was unfortunately but said they were patrolling the area. Apparently came from the A14 unit near Tesco in Kettering. Worth watching out for!!!

I'll keep an eye open, haven't seen anything despite having my office in the High St...

Will post anything I see, I'll have a word with a few that might know more than me as well.

The Octavia prowls that stretch.

The silver / grey one? I've been looking out for that since the last post but must have been lucky. We must be due a camera van spell again soon, I haven't seen one around Thrapston for a while now.

Does anyone know who's got the really loud RS4 in Thrapston? Sounds like it's doing 60 down the High St, I worry about a S59 myself in mine, but he must surely be more at risk. Sounds good though.

Summerfields sold a very loud S4 a couple of months ago.
What colour is the one you've seen?
DTM style zorsts?

Yep that's the one - black / dark grey, I assume personal plate, sounds a bit sporty.

Edit to say, not sure about DTM exhausts, very oval, very upswept tips and big bore?

Yes that's the one. One of George's specials. No idea who bought it.

I know, crap isn't it. That's the first thing I would have noticed so I could warn everyone! I have seen a charcoal new shaped Focus around recently as well and there was a marked Volvo Estate prowling around yesterday.

Where's your office? Mine is tucked away behind the Fire Station so we don't see anything going on!!

I'm above the Bread Basket in the High Street, opposite Barclays. Not exactly Canary Wharf, but it's handy!

You wouldn't believe some of the parking horrors you see opposite there on the cobbled bit outside Simpson & Partners, it's a wonder I get anything done most days. And also it's a good idea not to ever park there unless you want some old biddy to throw her car door into the side of your motor.

Ive got a good idea who owns that loud RS4, as Ive seen it parked on the drive of someone I went to school with, and would fit in with the type of car he owns.
It does sound awesome!!

Regarding unmarked cars, I saw what I thought was one turn from Midland Rd onto Bridge St.
Cant remember what it was, I think an Octavia or Mondeo sort of sized thing, it was dark blue.
What caught my eye was a very thin LED style light bar on the roof

Never seen it and I would know, I love those. I do see one parked at Wellingborough station from time to time though.

I'll keep a look out from now on.

Has anyone local seen Father Brian's RS500 Sierra recently? A bit of an odd car for a priest but he loves cars, nice chap.

Cant say Ive ever seen an RS500 in thrapston!
Well, I say that... the Ford garage had a Moonstone one in the showroom when they first went on sale originally (showing my age lol)

Ive seen a white 3 door going round on the odd time, it didnt look like an RS500 though.

This is mine:

Very nice...and how could I have missed that? You can't be out and about in it much?

It's white yes, and I was sure he said it was an RS500, maybe I'm wrong about that bit.

Lovely car. Not Thrapston in the pic though?

Edit to say I know this is sad but I'm guessing Thorpe / Aldwincle or maybe Islip? Sorry to be sub trainspotter...

I knew it was Thorpe! God I'm sad. I was chuffed at guessing right from 100m of road and some sky but the Mrs just shook her head and tutted...

This is me.

Is yours a standard colour? Looks great. Also I loved the cup wheels but seeing yours, it brings the car right up to date, they look really good.

Yes, it is Ruby Red, a standard but very rare colour.
The RS2 had Cup wheels, not the S2 wink

Ah so I am indeed a tw*t so my wife is correct.

I was struggling a bit, I blame an afternoon spent watching six nations and looking at Pistonheads, and now I've outed myself as an idiot in about my 10th post. Nice work me.

I still like the colour though. I don't think I've seen one that colour before.

Edit to say, of course, the front lower bumper is different isn't it. God I feel stupid. I come on a car enthusiast site and spot the village right but get the car wrong.

I'm off to rightmove.com...
