That'll be you and me both Dave! Though I kept mind 6 months!

I really enjoyed mine, but it had to make way for another Ferrari (not a bad trade off I suppose!)

Only downside was the usual french residuals, which for saying they're to popular and there's a waiting list wasn't that good. One garage offered me £10k and were deadly serious.

Dave have you forgot already, the petrol, rear tyres and brakes, the poor Merc service - being told about this before

For the same price as an AMG you could almost afford to buy and run one of the classics I've had - or a really nice P5 or DS or more up your dain-saf street an old Jag

You've done AMG

If you really must how about an Alpina

Nice ideas Nige but it will be my company car aswell - doing approx 20k miles per year.

20k a year would be no problem to a P5, DS, Jag and the like and probably a lot less cost overall

Remember the Big Man's J reg Daimler despite his ownership and driving style it must have lasted more than 20,000 miles

20,000 miles on a low mileage, or any, classic would do it good and mileage doesn't matter that much on a classic

You could if you really must get and excellent classic Merc see info here - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

You could even a pair and the expert that the factory refers to is on your door step

Apologies if its the wrong place.
