Can anyone recommend a decent local van hire firm or 'man with a van' = I'm after a Sprinter size LWB van to take some stuff over to France in May . . . .

Thanks

Used long Marsh in Wellingborough a good few times,
reasonably priced but possible not the cheapest - they hire 3.5 tonne small lorry type things will tail lifts too! never had any problems with them.
Not sure if using hire vehicles from the UK abroad effects hire agreements?

Hi Cal

My Brother and sis-in-law hired a van from over here to take stuff to their house in France, I'll find out who they used and if they had to pay extra.

Used these guys when we moved, rates were pretty reasonable from what I remember.

I have used Nova car and van rental in Daventry. They were pretty reasonable.

FYI all - managed to go through easyVan.com and get a SWB transit for £43 for 24 hours (1730 - 1730).

Then took the optional upgrade to a Sprinter sized LWB for £1 more !!

This was easily the best deal (by at least a tenner) and they are essentially middle-men for van hire firms - definitely worth looking at in the future . . .

Thanks for the recommendations.
