Hi All
After some advice from any local go Karters.
Looking to book some go karting in early feb and I'm after some advice on local ish tracks - 1h from Market Harb. We went to stretton / Leicester before Christmas is this the best local ish track or should we be looking elsewhere. I found stretton to be a good track but generally the lightest person won every time. This is the only local track I have been to so have nothing to compare it against.
Any recommendations for venues? Particularly if you could compare them to Stretton would be much appreciated.

Thanks Andrew

Unfortunately, with leisure go-karting, that's generally the case, apart from when there are massive differences in Kart power (which seems common).

You could call Whilton and see if you can use the International circuit and hire some proper Karts.

MkIndy - (nice car)

I remember some time ago, - the name Daytona Milton keynes was mentioned and suposed to have the quickest karts /good circuit?

Maybe some one on here can give an informed opinion? I've not been there! -if it is within your travel distance-

Thanks for the reply Stig i will look into the Daytona track.

I no longer have an MK bec just the Caterham (Duratec) but plan on doing some track days this year and maybe the caterham club sprint series.

The karting is more for a bit of fun with the lads.

If you want to do serious karting you really need to buy one. Then it gets more complicated and is still about how light you are and how well maintanied or tuned it is!

Err Proper Karting has minimum weight as long as your not 6' plus or a real bloater you will be bolting lead on to get up to minimum weight.I think you should maintain any vehivcle you use, brakes, tyres, steering ..not too difficult on a Kart. There are different classes and in Rotax tuning is forbidden, post race scrutineerinmg checks are strict!.
