As I'm sure most will know, theres a very famous motorcross race that takes place next to the canal in Blisworth on Boxing Day. For example:

Any local PH'ers up for going?

I'll be on the gate with my son handing out programs and collecting for a new cub hut,
and not caring about how muddy we get.....biggrin

It's moved slightly from last year - entrance between Youngs garden centre and the rail way line. (or thats where we've been told to report to)

Well one word springs to mind - Madness! biggrin

And to think that I worry about a bit of grit getting in my eye in the screenless Caterham.

I dont supose Ryan Griffiths was riding representing Northants?

formally of Deeble road, kettering.( I hear he was quite successful at the Wild and Wooley - not that I follow it)

I last spoke to him at the Northwest in ireland 2005 - seems most of my extended group of friends are insane- He has being doing stunt show "flying Ryan".

I do'nt know what he's been up to since he broke some bones trying that world record long jump? at Donnington?- did he ride at the event in question?

Ryan Griffiths from Oundle was riding a Honda 450 in the Expert class. I have no idea how he did this year.

Stormin - were you standing with an orange bucket and two young 'uns wearing cub neckers? If so, I think you may have been the first bucket holder en route from the offical car park to the race area - I made sure my mates and me stuck a generous donation in your bucket.. You did look fking cold and miserable, BTW hahaha

People were giving very genrously, dont know this year, but last year the cubs share was over £600. I was in a purple jacket. And it WAS cold, standing around doing that with a hangover and an excited child wasn't the best way to start the morning.!! But my son came away happy after he got splattered with mud at the 1st pool!!

I expect that will be the same Ryan, I'm sure he used to live on deeble road some time ago with his dad and worked or had something to do with the petrol station garage.

Last time I physically spoke to Him he was touring / working all over and living out of a motor home.

Oundle - the quiet life.

Good see He's recovered then.

-thought he'd maybe give it up and start fishing or something.

Sounds like you all had a intersting boxing day despite the cold.
