Heads up on unmarked car
Discussion
Ey up all, I don't really do PH these days but thought this a worthwhile forum to warn of a rather strange unmarked police car I encountered whilst making enthusiastic progress along the A45. It was an old 51 plate white Focus (possibly a tdi) and it gave me a friendly warning by switching on the flashing blues that I had failed to spot in the rear. When I overtook, the occupant looked the right sort of demographic and there were further blues in the front hidden in the grill.
This was A45 approaching wellingborough.

I almost came a c(r)opper on Moday night when I took Ben's other half for a spin. We had just left the A14 onto the A43 towards Corby with an X5 ahead f me in the outside lane. As it moved over I was about to 'make progress' when I spotted a 58 plate silvr Octavia Vrs in my morror so I lifted off and pulled over.
Said Octavia then cruised past with yellow bibbed BiB and ANPR cameras on board.

Is that Finedon Road as in from A14 to Finedon, past General's Corner / Addingtons turn? Oops.
Added to which I passed a Skoda vRS (or similar) on the A14 the other day and may have been slightly over NSL at the time. Although having said that the Skoda did undertake several cars and an artic on the Brampton Hut roundabout, then cut across lanes at the last possible moment when the lights went red; I assumed then that it wasn't BiB.

Thanks, I appreciate the warning & I hope it's pulling as in "on the spot"...I do love that stretch of road and I'd hate to think I'd got anything on its way to me by post.
What always surprises me about that road, if you know it, is that you can easily get stuck behind someone doing 45mph - and when you get to Finedon and slow to 30mph, they sail on through at 45mph still, you then catch them up between Harrowden Lane & Sidegate Lane, and then when you get to Wellingborough and slow to 30mph, you watch them disappear up the Finedon Rd at - you guessed it - 45mph. Or does that only happen to me?!
Should be an interesting next few weeks watching the letterbox.
