After giving the beast a hard time at Supercar Sunday it was noted that the clutch has started to slip again, the release bearing has started singing and the gearbox has got nigh on impossible to change down at anything more than a crawl. I also noticed that the anti-roll bar bush and bracket has completely fallen off one side and i was starting to get brake fade (thin pads).
So a quick call to Troy at Northampton Motorsport and its down there at the weekend for yet another new clutch, gearbox, brakes and some general TLC - hopefully it wont be away too long - i dont want to miss any organised hoons!!!!
See you soon - should be at Asby Foalville again next month on the 14th but it will be in the defender again i should think - a great meet - would recomend it to all.

TLC for the V8 Dave? More like TCP for you after Sunday (well done for that, it used to be hard work for me and I drove sensibly so you must have worked a lot harder)

Does that mean a full service for the car too? - Of course not silly me

Gear box and clutch (initially) not your fault Dave but bush and brackets are driver's abuse and lack of care

Brake fade could be better (or renewed) brake fluid required instead of or as well as pads as I'm sure you couldn't rely on just lifting your foot off the accelerator to slow you down

Make sure it's ready for Curborough as the tight git Wayne has finally caved in and paid for (part) electronic ignition a the car is a revelation to him and he's go to learn to drive it's performance - maybe you could show him biggrin

I went last year, or was it the year before, anyway to I don't want it to become too regular

Plus if Dave's going in his Landie it could be hazardous

What I want from Dave is for him to post a photo of his scalp to see how hot it was on Sunday and also see his white eyes from wearing designer goggles (the tart) laugh
