Got a couple of sofas to get rid of, useable but a bit smelly.
(We got them off a relative but when we got them in the house they were a bit too big and smelt strongly of cigarettes).
Whats the best way of getting rid?
Need transit size van to shift and you can't take them to the tip in a van except on certain days.

Any ideas?

Have you tried putting them up on Freecycle?

Steve, I've used freecycle bit to get and get rid of stuff and had very little problem.

JUst be firm about having them collected at a time to suit you.

Alternatively, ring the council. I think they have a collection service.

If they've got a fire label on them you can ring Daventry Council. they have a number for a charity that will come and get them.
