Thinking of up-ing sticks and moving out of Duston want to stay in Northamptonshire area and looking for a village location but not to far from motorway for work and commute issues, any pointers would be most welcome.

Cheers

hehe Northamptonshire is often named 'Lower Leicestershire' in my business..!!

Regarding villages with a decent network link - can recommend the villages between Northampton & Towcester (Blisworth, Milton Malsor, Collingtree (if you can afford it) Roade, Gayton)

We're in Blisworth after moving from West Hunsbury, looked at Dus'on ourselves & nearly bought there, but managed to get into a proper village, and boy do you notice it, school is good, community is great....people actually speak to you when you walk down the street.
Got electric last year too. wink

What sort of price range are you looking at? There are many nice villages out towards Towcester and heading towards Banbury, but they aren't cheap. The village I live in, Woodford Halse, is probably the cheapest round this way, but it is also the biggest village and evenly far away from everywhere!

Here's a few places, don't know if they'll be what you're after, but hey ho.

Yardley Gobion

Eastcote

Potterspury

Syresham

Whitfield

Helmdon

Piddington

Little Houghton

West Farndon

Woodford Halse

Upper Boddington, might be a bit too far to the M1 though.

That should get you an idea of what can be had.

It's where red diesel comes from. Via the medium of magic and science. Bit like curly wurly's really.

More options are Upper Stowe, Church Stowe, Farthingstone or Litchborough.
All much smaller than some already mentioned though smile

Newnham would be a possibility, close to the A5 and M1
