hehe You too then ?!!!

Apparently we've been trying to purchase items from Carphone Warehouse and Currys online over the last couple of weeks, but strangely enough neither Chris nor I remember doing this !!

Don't your card company ring you first to check then stop the transaction?

I known Tesco(card) ring Mrs Beer but then again Mrs Beer emails Tesco her comments and complaints regularly - I think she's on their nutty-old-lady list

Should be interesting as she was going fill up at this petrol station the other night (not sure if she did)

I was wondering if this was old hat especially with the Optimax reference

Mrs beer tells me she usually pays at the pump to avoid this (clever my missus) but has V-Power voucher and coupon to use so need to go to a till

Yes from junction 15 of M1

However until OP confirms this may be old news (or a reocurrence?)

I was scammed in January from the shell garage on the A45 as well. Luckily Tesco (who's credit card it was) called me as soon as someone tried to post a transaction somewhere in India and stopped my card straight away.
Someone told me that the terminals are swapped by someone who looks official and says the card terminals are faulty. They replace them with official looking terminals that have some way of storing all the card details. They return after a week and swap them back and then use the card info that has been somehow stored in their units to clone our cards. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I can't see how they can get hold of the Chip information any other way.
So much for Chip and PIN!rolleyes

we've used it a couple of times, but ages ago. It's the one with the hand carwash just before you get to J15

I had my Barclaycard cloned at the end of last year. Barclaycard never told me where they thought it happened. But I had a feeling it was that Shell garage. I always pay at pump there now.

Filled up Sunday, card 'used' in usa 24hrs later.
Cliff(Ceejay) got his cards done there as well. Aparently there was a spot on local TV re this garage in the autumn, but I didn't see it.

Right thanks's for conformation

How could I doubt someone who has such great taste in car ownership - 4.3 Griff with a standard 4.6 engine and Chim brakes would do me

Mind you, Optimax did you mean Shell Formula smile

Too late Mrs Beer's been there and fill up and used the till inside (to use vouchers) so we'll wait and see if Tesco(card) phone

She's also come in with a desperate need to visit the Vicotria Inn, Poole St. (bad Friday 13th at work)

And to think it was only last night I had to explain to a tour organiser that's it's not always me that has to stop at a pub !!
