Can anyone recommend a local (Kettering/Wborough) firm to do the recon on the heater matrix from the Rover P5B please.

I used company in Northampton for the radiator and had several revisits to get it right so......

Just an update:

As there were no Nothants recommendations I went through a friend who works for Aston Engineering in Derby and he forwarded the matrix on to their usual guy who said he had cold tested to 15psi and all seemed well.

My friend at AE wasn't happy with that and sourced an alternative who seemed eager to help and has the facility to hot test.

They hot tested and found some blockages do re,pved one of the end caps and rodded out the matrix at which point the leaks became obvious. The matrix has tiny holes that just weeped when the sludge inside was hot.

Still going to eb around £100 to replace the matris but should stop the steaming up problem.

Hi mate, if you can let me have dimensions/pipe orientations etc. and a photo I might be able to sort you a replacement. I work for a radiator/heater company in Wellingborough and although most of our stuff is for fighting vehicles we do have a stock of heater matrices.
Worth a try, I'm on

bowtie Not the first time I've herad that!

In terms of heater matrices, I'm not sure what is large or small as I can't remember ever having seen one befoe but the angle of the picture may give a false perspective. The actual measurements are 25cm X 11cm X 9cm.

Having said the above, it is off the Rover so, as with most things, its probably over engineered. Most people forget that once, long ago, Rover built quality cars.
