Just popped to the corner shop, looked down the road and saw a huge plume of smoke - we're talking Buncefield proportions here.

From the location, it could be Brackmills way. Anyone know anything?

Its the Gerrard Waters flooring company on brackmills - 60,000sq ft unit apparently.
Look on the Chronicle & Echo website - there are pictures posted by people from all round Northampton. Its amazing from how far away you can see the flames and the smoke.

I spotted a huge plume of smoke yesterday (but it was coming from a volcano).

Interesting pics on the Chron. website.

Has anyone else noticed a number of fires in the last few days? There was something on fire down my street the other night, followed by a fire at the workplace next to mine yesterday, and then I look outside this afternoon and another one! (Admittedly a fair bit larger then the other two) Speaking of this I am just going to check I turned the oven off.....

The thought had crossed my mind, but for the first time in my life, I must say that surely setting it on fire isn't the best answer biggrin

You could see the smoke cloud south of Towcester. Proper buggered up the A45 too.
