clap Massive respect to the Owen and the boys from BPM Racing who won their class at Silverstone this weekend in the Britcar 24hr.

Cutting a very long story short - They led their class by as much as 14 laps for several hours, right up to the point where their steering broke under the safety car with about 10 minutes to go. Luckily the car in 2nd spot didn't have enough time to catch them and after 24 hours they won by a massive 24 seconds !

Picturedrome on Wednesday for hero worship and war stories ! bow

posted on the thread in the britcar forum congratulating the team. Well done chaps- superb effort.

I wont be able to make TP for a while so wont be able to celebrate with you chaps I am afraid. I will try and call in later on (will be driving though) as I owe Owen £20!

Top job O! Congrats to all the team.
I see there was a minor change to the front aero part way through from looking at Gary's pictures smile

Hope to make it for beer on Wednesday and hear the stories...currently on central Pacific time though tongue out:

I'll call round at about 9.30 and pick you up ! There is a general lack of drinking enthusiasm from some quarters (Owen's birthday, Matt's manflu etc.) but I have a pass.

no lack of enthusiasm, just a stinking cold wink if I'd been coming out it would have been at 8, not rolling in at half nine :P

We were asleep by 7.40pm last night! (sorry, blame the 2 nights of no sleep and flying plus 11 hour time switch)

I am sure Darren will be there next week (p.s. he is racing at Rockingham on Sunday, everyone welcome)
