Guys and gals,

Today I brimmed the van, a shocking £100.00 Bill. Bear in mind a vast percentage goes to the government, the moaning seems to go on. Nothing seems to be changing.

Has anyone else noticed that the spin in the media seems to have stopped?

Nah Justin

We are all silently contemplating changing over to the horizontal pedal powered wind cheating zoom mobile !

Anyway now the good burghers of Glasgow East have said "stitch yuu Jimmy" to Gordo we may not have to wait too long for the revolution to arrive.

Lets not miss the point - Its still over £1.00. We are already paying for the tax, on the money we have paid income tax on.
70% Tax duty.

well what if.... i a huge selection of high performance motors were to stage a protest on the A14 Just like the lorry drivers do...

or i could just get my nan to drive.. she would hold everyone up

a protest on the street does not really make an impact.. but on britans roads it does!!!1

I'm not missing the point, we are getting raped by the government, oil companys & OPEC.

I'm just saying these are currently the cheapest places in the area.

I agree. The last fuel hike to go above £1 and everyone went mad to the point that the UK nearly come to a stand-still for fuel strikes. This time it seems very little has happened in comparison and we have just bent over and taken a good rodding.

but that's always been the english way, we all complain about it but nothing actually gets done, we just sit back and get robbed blind by what ever government is in power at the time

Well Next change of contract-job, I intend to find one where I work from home. In fact most people who have a desk job I meet are all saying the same.

I did a few calcs last week on "travelling to my desk / puter"

It is unfortunate that I have to use A14 most days, dealing with traffic lights that do just that - make traffic.

So quality of life is depleting for me due to;

1. Time spent in traffic for me - 1.5 to 2 hours a day. This could be better spent travelling to my desk approx 15 seconds away from the furthest point of my property (that the bank own). Using those two hours to hack away at the mortgage, so I have some assets to give away when I die. (its in the interests of the government for me to do this, as they claim inheritance tax by the way).

2. Keeping the roads clear, and Mr. Brown clear from my wallet, saving the environment from global warming (although driving isn’t the cause).

3. Giving Dave at my local garage huge fist fulls of wonga, to change oils, belts, mechanical bits and bobs, and other fluids. For him to ultimately pollute the globe with old tyres and used engine oil.

Although working from home seems unlimately an ideal for some folk. I had a friend who worked from home claimed expenses of certain things lighting, decorating etc. He told our lovely Inland Revenue Customs and excersise-tax gatherers that he used one room and his garage. He then sold his home, and made some money. Good for him .– Then; The tax gatherers then wanted 20% of the profit (of his home) as he was a “taxable person”

So the only sensible way forward is to get yourself a solar powered shed. Get a government grant for its purchase, and one for its clean green status..

The moral of this tale is: Buy a shed.
