Hi all, I have the unenviable task of trying to find somewhere to live in the Northampton area over the next few weeks. I have been down there today, and it is quite clear that I am going to need to share a place in order to get what I would like ideally. I will be placing ads here and there and I figured I may as well ask around the PH community in the off chance anyone is interested? I am going to be working for an engineering company near the town centre, but I am quite happy to commute a few miles from any of the surrounding estates, with my only real requirement being either ample off road parking or a garage. If anybody is interested or anybody knows anyone that may be interested then i would be very grateful!

Thanks

That area is nice but I could do with being within 5 miles of town centre really. Thanks anyway!

Managed to find a place that should suit me hopefully, Had a look around yesterday and was quite happy with it, does anyone have any views about the Abington area? Seemed quiet enough, and not too far from town centre so may well take it!

I have not heard bad things about Abington- so on that basis, it's good, don't know the area that well though smile

The Abington area is regarded as being a bit up market in some places - Which street ?

I used to live between the racecourse & cricket ground, which was ok. Handy for Pdrome & assorted curry houses. On street parking was a total nightmare tho (too many cars/house).

You should be able to walk to the Picturedrome from there....

I mean, you can walk to the pub on a Weds. night and meet some local PH boys.
