Last weekend, me and the girl friend went out to Stoke Bruerne for the afternoon which was very nice indeed! I live in Daventry and there really is nothing to do around here.
My girlfriend lives in Northampton but anybody got any nice places to go, canal side pubs and things like that?

Gees I haven't been home (Northampton) in a long-time.
There are loads of small cute pubs around- although I think it's better to go there in summer weather ( I'm talking sun and heat incase you were wondering
) The Dusty Fox in Duston is a nice pub. Generally good atmosphere and great food! The Brampton halt in Chapel Brampton is a nice one too, and you get to drive through the picturesque bramptons on the way. Both are on the Daventry side of Northants and about 20 mins drive from the Daventry Country Club from memory.
You might want to try one of the posts at the top of the forum, which is should help out with other pubs.
