...to Obes and Matt172 for their help, time and cars on Saturday afternoon at the St Matthew's Church fete. For those of you that don't know (I suspect almost all of you), St Matthew's has a small Classic and Performance car exhibit at their fete. There were 16 cars there this time spanning about 80 years from an Austin 7 and a Singer Le Mans through to a Tuscan, an Elise and an RS4.

I had the official old lady thank you phone call on Sunday afternoon and she asked me to pass on the church's thanks to my friends, I tried to explain that I didn't have any friends but it fell on deaf ears (literaly !). The Fete raised over £3k.

Thanks again guys.

Dam I've just spent an hour looking for Lap times of the Le Mans Singer with no joy, so no repost to the gags.(for now)rolleyes
The steering wheel is mighty close to the seat too true.

bit of quick calculation, I recon on a lap time (based on the 1933 results) of 7 1/2 mins per lap smile

As against the 3.17 laps that the Peugeots were doing this year ! The ACO is trying to limit lap times to 3.30 as a safety measure next year or the year after.
