Seems this Sunday is the 1st of the month, will there be anybody at Sywell? I'll be landing back home from the US in the morning so will need an excuse to get the TVR out(providing it starts) as it's been neglected for 3 weeks.

Well it should be in here! I could be really pedantic, and move it after all the community is in here not in events
If I want to look for a local event I look here If I want to go further afield I go to the specific forum
So why does it keep getting posted in there? IT GET'S MISSED!

Oh crap I forgot all my commas and apostrophes in the right places

Does anything in particular happen, or is it just a big meet up for lunch or so on? I might be able to make it over in the kit car if it's dry.

There is a classic car show at Lamport Steam Railway at Chapel Brampton so might make a day of it there. Or maybe do Sywell first?

I think it should be posted in Events (to attract others from nearby areas and those that do not use this section). Then a link could be added here to remind us.

my opinion would be the other way around, its a Northants meet, so it should be in here first and the link in Event.
There used to be a sticky in here for the monthly meets but I think it got removed because it confused someone because the date of the meet wasn't kept up to datewink

think if this is the case, it might need a bit more information to entice new people along rather than just a link to a website smile

Like a time, an idea of what is to be expected- drive and meet/just a meet, a note to say all are welcome etc. may entice new people along (if that is the aim. the aim may be to keep us ruffians out of course)

had one before but I think it got unstickied because someone who doesn't even go to the meets posted some sarcastic comment about the date not being upto date.
but yes, I think the stickie is the best plan

How about a sticky wiki for all the events in the area in 2008? that way anyone can update them and we don't end up with pages and pages of responses where dates get lost.
