Has anyone used a local architect whose service and skills they would be happy to recommend? We're not planning anything especially ambitious but nonetheless would like to work with someone with a bit of vision and imagination.

Thanks in advance for your recommends....

Hi - we're in the middle of an extension at the moment - also nothing ambitious - but the Architect we used found us space for another room in the area we had laid out...
Tony Lane - 01604 842198 - lives in Kingsthorpe
and can recommend - Rural Building Services as a builder to get a quote from too.
Good luck

Thanks stormin - I'll give him and them a call.

Hope you're not living in too much chaos whilst the building work goes on!

Glad to have helped, thankfully it's all be outside, until this week - adjoining windows / doors come out today.....I can taste the dust already.
Fortunately our's isn't as extensive as Tyre_treads. See his blog/photos, it's quite illuminating.wink

Kitchen arrived today. Looks like it'll be excellent.

I can recommend a few architect NOT to use!

Must get round to updating the photos

Just had a look at tyre tread's photos etc. - looks like a major undertaking! Look forward to seeing the next installment.

Ours will be a much smaller project but having lived in my previous house whilst it was 'developed', I know just how much mess it all makes. The dust seems to stay despite washing, vacuuming, washing again and then more vacuuming!

I was pretty spoiled really - my builder's wife did the worst part of the washing and vacuuming. I'm planning to stay happily unmarried until all the cleaning up is done just in case there proves to be a link between washing, vacuuming and being a wife! biggrin
