At last! Received an e-mail from the chairman of the Formula Junior Historic Racing Association. We had a wanted advert on their web site for any pictures for the Lova. Fantastic as the body once thought not to me the original, is in fact as it was in 1965. I have more pictures of the chassis in contruction, without its body, these will help in re-creating this fantastic looking car. So it was a green car it turns out

It is in fact a Lova Mk10 Formula 3 - 1965, Duncan wrote. So absolutely eligible to FJ UK Champ races in Invitation Class G.1

Right you are...

Currently it’s sharing the garage briefly, with an Austin Healey. The steering rack is in, and wheel in place. Pedal box is built up with servos. Engine as before has been freshly built to 100hp by Tim Bishop of Connaught Motor Company who has developed a 2.0 V10. I have managed some panelling of the underside, and have the position of the flimsy seat correct. Most of the suspension components are looking pretty in black enamel. The body is still original as it was when it was raced 42 years ago. My thoughts are to have the car tip top race condition with the exception of the body, leaving this in its rough state reflecting its history. This would also be unique as all the grid of Formula Juniors, sparkle to perfection.

Some of you may know that I purchased the car from my friend David Watts who raced D-types in historic racing. He encouraged me regularly to "Get on with it". Sadly this year he died, after a short battle with cancer, hence a lot of enthusiasm for this little car has now been lost.

Work commitments (both the Harrier Simulator, and the Wheeling Machines) also mean that time found for "tinkering" is somewhat troublesome, if you know what I mean ;-)
