St George's Day Flags for cars
Discussion
I know we should celebrate St Georges day in the same way other countries celebrate their patron saints but every football following chav has devalued the St Georges flag by flying it for 3mths after England playing Outer Mongolia under 21 reserves and beating them.
Do the Irish / Welsh / Scottish fly their flag on their cars on there saint days? No, but I suppose every pub jumps on the Guinness / Shamrock bandwagon...
So do you really want to Chav your car?

The flag has only been devalued bacause you allowed it to be so in your mind.Do the Irish / Welsh / Scottish fly their flag on their cars on there saint days? No, but I suppose every pub jumps on the Guinness / Shamrock bandwagon...

The flags were for a specific event but why not recapture the true meaning of our flag and have everyone fly one for the right reason?

It has not! Imo.
The flag has been completely devalued because there is no dignity or value to it any more. Seeing countless cheap, dirty worn out polyester rags in the national colours has completely devalued the flag and its meaning.
I think it should only be allowed to fly from civic buildings.
I mean, have a look at the cars you normally see it flying from - they're all sheds.

This thread needs moving to P&P.
And for the record I would use one on my Cerb.
why does it need moving to P&P? it was posted by someone from Northants asking if anyone knew where to get the flags fromAnd for the record I would use one on my Cerb.
"The flag is devalued"
"No it isn't"

Anyone seen any for sale anywhere?
I am organising a run on Sunday and forgot to order some online so I need to pick some up tomorrow or saturday.
do you know, I've also not seen a single flag for sale anywhere either.I am organising a run on Sunday and forgot to order some online so I need to pick some up tomorrow or saturday.
Strange isn't it, because if it was for an England game or something the shops would be over flowing with flags by now.
Since this is a Northants forum, I'll recommend a local supplier:

How much more a celebration of "Britishness" does it need to be?
