Anyone seen any for sale anywhere?

I am organising a run on Sunday and forgot to order some online so I need to pick some up tomorrow or saturday.

I know we should celebrate St Georges day in the same way other countries celebrate their patron saints but every football following chav has devalued the St Georges flag by flying it for 3mths after England playing Outer Mongolia under 21 reserves and beating them.

Do the Irish / Welsh / Scottish fly their flag on their cars on there saint days? No, but I suppose every pub jumps on the Guinness / Shamrock bandwagon...

So do you really want to Chav your car?

The flag has only been devalued bacause you allowed it to be so in your mind.

The flags were for a specific event but why not recapture the true meaning of our flag and have everyone fly one for the right reason?

It has not! Imo. smile

The flag has been completely devalued because there is no dignity or value to it any more. Seeing countless cheap, dirty worn out polyester rags in the national colours has completely devalued the flag and its meaning.

I think it should only be allowed to fly from civic buildings.

I mean, have a look at the cars you normally see it flying from - they're all sheds.

This thread needs moving to P&P.

And for the record I would use one on my Cerb.

why does it need moving to P&P? it was posted by someone from Northants asking if anyone knew where to get the flags from

I for one think they look awful, cheap tacky and chavvy.

I would much prefer to see our flag flown properly and with dignity instead of it being adorned on the countless 'sheds' the vast majority of these people seem to call cars.

More chance of a debate.

do you know, I've also not seen a single flag for sale anywhere either.

Strange isn't it, because if it was for an England game or something the shops would be over flowing with flags by now.

Can't thinking that when you do see these flags fluttering from motorised chav sheds, these flags do actually represent the country:

Cheap, poor quality, dirty and worn out.

Since this is a Northants forum, I'll recommend a local supplier:

They were to put on British cars on a run to celebrate the Federation of British Historic Vehicle clubs annual use it day which is on the closest Sunday to St George's Day. OK?

How much more a celebration of "Britishness" does it need to be?
