Le Mans

Is anyone else going to Le Mans this year ?

Is anyone that is going heading for Dover on Thursday 12th June for about 0600hrs ?

If they are do they want to hook up for the drive down ?

If not shall we have a Northants meet when we get there ?

Leaving on the Tuesday camping at Blue Nord.

Hopefully the Friday meet will happen at the usual location. Info on this seems a bit sketchy at the mo, I imagine it wouldn't be made official by the police/authorities anyway, but there are people out there trying to find out. Keep you eyes and ears open for any alternative as last year was a bit of a disaster!

Giving it a miss for the first time in 7 years, last year didn't enjoy it so much - maybe partly down to the rain but also seems to have turned a bit chavvy.

going to try the nurburgring 24hrs next weekend as an alternative I know, however, that the second weekend in June will arrive and I will long to be there!

No Matt seems to respond better to being drunk in a pub with fellow drunk PHers egging him on to go to Le Mans

There is only me and Skid Solo going from here this year and I am off to Spain tomorrow so won't have much time to egg him on. You may have to resort to getting him drunk yourself ?

matt, we've got a spare place for the nurburgring 24hrs if you fancy it - will be leaving weds night so can pic you up from the picturedrome en route, just take a rucksack with a change of clothes to the pub mate.

I would be prepared to bet that there will be a spare set of Ferry, campsite and 2 General Admission tickets for Thursday 12th, 0700hrs crossing (Dover to Bolougne), Club Motorsport camping, return 2100hrs ferry Monday 16th etc. hitting the PH market in about a week if you are interested ?

Phil, I could have written that post! Only differences being that this year will be my first miss since '04, and I'm not going to the 'Ring. Everything else though I completely agree with!
