I need to stay over for the Silverstone Classic this weekend, and every b&b I've phoned is booked up for the event. Does anyone know of anywhere, within walking distance (~ 30-60 mins) of the track that might not be fully booked up yet? Any help would be appreciated a lot

This place isn't within walking distance but only 5-6 miles away and certainly a good stopping place if it helps.

I am sure you have tried them all already, but try Green Man at Brackley Hatch, Saracens Head Towcester, there is a premier lodge type building at Towcester Services, Whittlebury Hall (expensive though)........

Have to say you will struggle to find walking distance, but Towcester is only a taxi ride away, about 4 miles...

None of these are within walking distance, but they're all less than 20 minutes drive. The one in Chackmore is probably the closest

Already tried those smile, and no luck

The reason it needs to be walking distance is I won't be coming with a car, which is limiting me quite a bit, especially as I have to be there for the whole event each day

Not having a car makes it really awkward to think of anywhere. Are you quite fit? It's quite a way to walk from anywhere. What about a bike?

Why do you have to be there for the whole event? Can't the people who want you there pick you up?

The people that want me there are in Canada - I photograph many large UK events for them, so that's why I really need to be for the whole of the Classic. And since Silverstone only accreddited me yesterday, I couldn't arrange any accomodation/travel before then. I've walked from Silverstone village before and that wasn't a problem, and I guess I wouldn't mind riding up from somewhere further away either

The Saracen is a little above our budget, unfortunatley. I only really need a bed, shower and plug socket. Thanks for all of your help though everyone! smile Much appreciated, although this is probably an event I'll have to miss out

You're just trying to chat him up so he can get you and Trackside in the Media area.

You're such a tart!
