Living the childhood dream
Discussion
Firstly, don't want this to be taken as a boasting post, just felt i wanted to tell people about my new purchase, and who better to tell than fellow car enthusiasts
I have loved TVRs for as long as i can remember, just the sound, the unusual looks and the speed is another factor i guess, although i would still have bought one if they only went 70 Mph just for the whole experience!
On friday just gone, a shiny T350 was delivered to me, and i felt like a 10 yr old kid again when i saw one for the first time, the excitemenet, the anticipation and the slight sense of nervousness of having bought one.
The car is a 2004 '04 T350, done 19,500 miles in red bull blue, with the red rose re-mapped ECU. Not sure why 350bhp wasn't enough for the previous owner but it now has "nearer 400bhp"
It was found by an independant guy by the name of Michael Caine who was recommended by Steve Gugliemi. Can't speak highly enough of Michael really, he has worked with/for TVR for 10 years and did a lot of the development work on the T350 so he knows them inside out, as well as other models.
Have spent yesterday driving round to friends and the general reaction was , wow, i want one now, and....how do you get in/out
Hope to meet some of you on the next northants run, work commitments permitting and put faces to names.
Will get some picures up soon for the interested people. It is currently tucked up in the garage as i have been called in to work and it is a bit grey and cloudy today.
