Careful now Mark, he's Pete's ex (business) partner

We're off to the Country (game) Fair soon, I really hope there's real ale there or it's going to be a long day

9 of us went there yesterday night for the lads 18th birthday meal.
Ordering took an eternity as just about everythng appeared to be off.
The food took a good hour and a half to arrive. Its was then found to be cold.
At which point we all got up and walked.
Truly a terrible evening and waste of 'cooked' food, still someones dog will be happy!

In my experiance this has to be the worst service i have ever encountered.
Truly a 'Fawlty Towers' experience par excellance.

On the plus side beer was Ok and relatively inexpensive.

Steve that's bad he wont keep in business if he carries on like that

Mrs Beer very ocassionally eats there so I'll let her know

Never noticed the beer being relatively inexpensive, were you on lager

Did you all have a less formal meal of a bag of fish and chips each out on the street ?

Pedigree was £2,20 a pint which is pretty good i thought.

Ended up doing a run to KFC. Not an impressive meal but at least it was hot.
May have just been a bad night but we weren't the only ones complaining.
retaraunt was very full for a Tuesday but if it was anything to go by they would be better of sticking to baguettes!

There are many consequences to people splitting up and more so when they are in business together

He should appologise to you and if he gets back on his feet he should offer you a free meal for 9 to make up for what you missed and a few free Pedis (lager drinkers can buy their own smile)

Remind me in a few months Steve and I'll suggest it to him (he knows Mrs Beer and I as customers and Graham used to buy beer from Potbelly)

To be fair it may well be a one off, at least i damn well hope so.
(If not the food side at least will not last long).
As it stands i wouldn't recommend the place for food but as i said the beer was reasonably priced and reasonable smoking facilities too so on that count would get a thumbs up still.

Stephanie and I were there last night. Peter was cook. The food was good, and served in good time. Peter came over to speak with us later and did say he was struggling with Staff. The last cook just left without notice. Next week they should have a new chef.

Oh yeah of course, he did tell Sheila this when we were there but I forgot - my mind was more on in getting Potbelly back there

On the subject of Potbelly...

Who was the nice man at Blipi's birthday bash who was suggesting he use his influence with the great and the good to organise a visit to Potbelly Brewery for the local PH ers ? idea

Ah! but keep the posting to this thread as we don't want Power Rangers spoiling it. It should be kept genteel for the cognocenti. read
Good word that, surprised Skinner doesn't use it more often.

Only talking about that last night at our local Shire Bears meeting, it was suggested to get two dates from Glenn smile
I'll be with Glenn tomorrow having power meetings at two village pubs I'll see if we can tie this down

As you know Harvey I'm very open I'll even talk to German car owners but if I knew what Power Rangers were I might not what to extend the invitation to them

I'm doing my best he's already told me it wont be Crazy Daze frown

Best we can hope for at Kimbolton is a box of bright or a few (plastic) jugs but leave it to me I have a cunning plan, he knows better than to deny Mrs Beer her real ale wink
