Thumbs up to Plans Motorsport!

I did the Pistonheads challenge on the Top Gear track yesterday afternoon in the Elise, along with my Dad driving Plans' Elise. We both had a great afternoon and came away having learnt alot - when you've had little to no proper track experience it's surprising how much there is to learn! So after lots of spinning-out I managed an acceptable 1:40.0 with the old man managing a more respectable 1:35.9
Needless to say I was keen to beat the old boy, but given the semi-slicks, uprated suspension, close ratio gearbox etc. that was on the Plans Elise, they think the times were actually pretty similar (excuses over).
We would both really like to go again, with there being so much more to learn - next time I'll probably give the Plans Elise a try to even things out a little...
The old man that beat me...
So thoroughly recommeded!

Well done Peter and hats off to you for using your car where you can explore its limits in relative safety.
I'll bet you're still grinning?
Defo. - I couldn't sleep Monday night, I was buzzing so much! And as you say pushing the car to it's limit & beyond with out the worry of hitting things or being prosecuted was good.I'll bet you're still grinning?

nice one Pete.
I have to agree on Plans, they're often well recommended over on the Noble forum
Did it make you panic a bit on your first blast through the follow-through.... I remember going through there with the instructor shouting "don't lift" "don't lift" !
Having studied the DVD I came away with, I have to admit I probably only kept her pinned once through the follow-through... However, Graham the intructor was certainly up for it!I have to agree on Plans, they're often well recommended over on the Noble forum
