I was hit over the head with a plastic curtain track fitment

I was hit over the head with a plastic curtain track fitment by Mrs Beer for "selling the only reliable car we have at the moment without telling (her)"
Whoops, thought I'd mentioned I was ringing someone, I didn't know he'd snatch both my arms off and take it instantly
So the Capri is now with a real enthusiast for rolling restoration
Anyone (central) got any photos of my Capri please to pass on to him

James the GT6, altho' it's away AGAIN with the repairer, was meant to be the Capri's replacement ten months ago

I`ll have a look mate.
Thanks Matt, Mark and Gary
Sorry I was going to post to say I'd realised that the Capri had never been to a meet but got tied up with something else
You've proved me wrong anyway
911s you can see everyday, a genuine Cobolt blue Capri is very rare
(the colour was only avaiable for six months so I'm told)

Hi Nigel , dont know if im gonna get beat up for this but The capri is already getting its rebuild , front passeger wing as been been stripped of all the rust and made back up to near original , new points, timming set up , plugs changed , all the bumber endcaps changed to new near mint , the passenger wing mirrors had an replacement one fitted ,the exhaust has been fixed , clamp sorted and the small hole sorted , The roof and some of the panels paint surface have been cut back to sort the scratches in the laquer back .......waxed and protected ,the next jobs the other wing !! then the replacement stripes for the passenger side and the scuff on the passenger rear wing . after that if... i can get it off Clare ill sort the radio out and the wipers , restore the wheels , it sounds like loads of work but its not really.
Im so pleased to be given the chance to keep this piece of motoring history on the road
nigel ,,, we owe you ! it is truly a potential Gem and as far as we concerened this capri is to stay on the road !! not consigned to some ebay butcher or bling bling pimp my ride person

Francis, welcome aboard
Thanks for the photos, excellent progress
I'm really glad you've got the car as I knew you'd recognise what a sound car it is
How about sharing your progress (and the fact it's to be a daily driver, they need reminding about this) by starting a new topic on the Yesterday's Hero Forum

A Crapi it may be but still worth saving! Too many of the more common cars are disappearing into oblivion!
