There a nice Italian in 'Harboro. Up near the canal as you go out of town on Leicester Rd, can't remember the name though.
Mexican is good but not for a quiet romantic meal!
Pub in Braybrook does good food and has seperate restaraunt bit.

Covatis, nice place, good food, but not sure about romantic, usually quite noisy, better in larger groups.

Depends what you want, how much you want to spend and how close to Harborough. There is plenty of choice.

For something really special travel to Rushton Hall. Pricey but excellent food and service. You'll have a good night afterwards as she'll know you treated her right

Italian & reasonably priced in Harborough - try the new one in the High Street - Zizi's I think its called. It's part of a chain but food is good and nice atmosphere. (Prego's and Quo vatis are more warehouse like and lack atmosphere)

There are many brilliant pubs if you are prepared to travel out to the villages.

Another good upmarket but excellent value eatery is the orangery at Kilworth House Hotel. Very reasonable (they charge a premium in the restaurant for almost identical food). Nice atmosphere in the orangery!

Excellent Indian food at Little India in Arnesby - Sevice can be slow but if yiou're not in a hurry.....! It won several awards for its food.

Agree with everything that tyre tread has said, and will be booking a babysitter and giving Rushton Hall a go.
